James A. Boller, ChFC President

Jim was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y. After graduating from Brighton High School, Jim attended the University of Albany where he studied political science and economics and graduated magna cum laude in 1991.

He spent the next 15 years working in corporate sales and management. Jim has a wide range of experience in many aspects of business, including agricultural commodity sales, consumer lending, corporate sales and corporate management.

Jim joined Regent Financial Group, LLC in July of 2006. He is a Registered Representative with Kestra Investment Services and an Investment Advisor Representative with Kestra Advisory Services. He holds the Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam) securities licenses with the FINRA as well as New York State life and health insurance licenses. He currently lives in Brighton with his wife, Jill, and two daughters. Jim enjoys spending his non-working hours with his family, and has done volunteer work for the United Way, American Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He has been a team captain for many years for the Diabetes Association Tour de Cure fundraiser and has a passion for riding his Trek Madone road bicycle. Jim also enjoys hiking, skating, snow shoeing, kayaking and reading.

Peter S. Edelstein, ChFC, CEO

Peter was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He graduated from Brighton High School and earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from St. John Fisher College. Peter began his financial services career with Citibank, N.A. soon after graduation from College. He worked for Citibank's FOCUS unit in Manhattan, an arm of their Private Banking Group where he managed the accounts of numerous high net worth individuals and corporate executives. After five years with Citibank Peter was recruited by Merrill Lynch to work in their Mount Kisco, NY office, an affluent suburb of New York City in Westchester County.

Peters' career at Merrill Lynch encompassed working as a financial advisor and then working for Merrill implementing new financial account management systems and software. Peters' interests and experience led him to Imagine Software where he implemented risk management software for banks, hedge funds and institutional portfolio managers.

Peter and his wife decided that they preferred to raise their two boys in Rochester and moved back to Brighton in 2006. Peter recently decided to couple his extensive experience and knowledge in financial technology with his past experience as a financial advisor and re-enter the financial advisor profession. Peter's significant financial services industry experience coupled with his background in training and management skills make him a valuable asset to the Regent Team.

Outside of work Peter has been involved in volunteer emergency services since high school. He served as an EMT with Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance and was a volunteer firefighter in Chappaqua, NY for 17 years, the last 6 of which he served as a Chief. Peter has been active with the National Ski Patrol for many years and is a presently the Patrol Director at Bristol Mountain. Peter also enjoys coaching his sons travel baseball teams.


Christopher S. Opper, ChFC

Chris was born and raised in Rome, N.Y. He graduated from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, earning a B.S. Degree in Management Science. In 1999, he began his financial services career at Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc. As a risk management analyst with Manning & Napier, he focused on the evaluation of both mutual funds and investment managers as to their suitability for institutional clients and high net worth individuals.

Chris joined Regent Financial Group, LLC in 200. He is a Registered Representative with Kestra Investment Services and an Investment Advisor Representative with Kestra Advisory Services. He holds the Series 7(General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Exam) securities licenses from the FINRA as well as New York State Life & Health insurance licenses. In addition, Chris earned the Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College in 2012

Chris lives with his wife Bridget and two daughters in Fairport, NY. In his free time, Chris enjoys working out at the gym, reading and studying history. He and his wife also enjoy entertaining friends and family throughout the year.

Philip R. Ashe, Financial Advisor

Philip joined Regent Financial Group, LLC in February of 2014 as a Financial Advisor. He was born and raised in Rochester, NY. After graduating with honors from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Philip joined the Eastman Kodak Company where he held corporate management positions while starting up new businesses within the Kodak organization. In 2006 his business consulting and entrepreneurial background helped lead to the formation of a new local company, where he served in corporate executive positions. In order to better utilize his 30 years of customer experiences, a wealth of domestic and international business development experiences, and entrepreneurial skills coupled with his passion to help make a significant difference in people's lives, Philip made a career transition in 2012. He took on an advisory role as a financial representative in the financial services industry at AXA Advisors. After two years at AXA, his desire to represent a truly independent environment along with comprehensive investment strategy development for his clients lead him to the Regent Financial Group, LLC.

Philip is a Registered Representative with Kestra Investment Services. He holds the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam) licenses and New York State Life and Health insurance licenses.

Philip and his wife, Nancy, enjoy having fun with their children, grandchildren, family and friends. They are involved with their grandchildren's many sporting activities. Philip also enjoys woodworking, gardening, biking and water sports. He is an active member of the gardening, building and grounds committees at his local church. He is also member of the Six Degree Advocates and volunteers at local charitable organizations such as The Cancer Awareness Group which hosts the Ovarian Cancer 5K each year in Cobbs Hill Park.

Kim Osborn, Administrative Manager of Investments and Insurances

Kim was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She began her career in the financial services field in 1986 at JP Morgan Chase, where she worked for 18 years. As a Trust Administrator at Chase she spent 14 years administering retirement and 401(k) Plans for companies throughout the Northeast region. For the last 4 years at Chase Kim acted as a Discretionary Trust Administrator in the Private Client Services Group.

Prior to joining Regent Financial Group, Kim worked at Sage Rutty & Co. for 2 years as a Client Services Associate. Kim joined Regent Financial Group, LLC, in June 2008 as the Administrative Manager of Investments and Insurances. Kim and her husband Jamie along with their 4 children live in Webster, NY. Kim enjoys traveling, festivals, exercise and spending time with family.
